Identification of musical alphabets.

The music alphabet consist of seven(7) letters namely, A, B, C, D, E, F, G. each note has a unique pitch, notes are the building blocks for all music.

This music alphabet can be used repeatedly, that is over and over again. From any letter and end on the same letter.

Illustration 1

Here we draw a sphere to show how the music alphabet evolves.

SCALE: when you write from one letter and end it on the same letter.

Example

A     B     C     D     E     F     G     A

B     C     D     E     F     G     A     B

C     D     E     F     G     A     B     C

This is known as a scale

Octave: As we all know that in Mathematics, an eight(8) sided plane shape or polygon  is called octagon, in music likewise an octave is the eight note of a musical scale in which the 8th, (the last) note is usually the repetition of the first.

Example

1.)   D  E     F     G     A     B     C     D     = D – D

       1     2     3     4     5     6       7       8

2.)    E     F     G     A     B     C     D     E      = E – E

          1     2     3        4      5     6     7      8

3.)          G   A     B     C     D     E     F     G     = G-G

               1     2     3     4     5     6     7     8
