BRIEF EXPLANATION/NOTES FOR THE PUPILS: Prayer has many benefits. One of such is that it makes you to have and maintain a good relationship with God. When you pray to God, you acknowledge Him as your maker.
When you do that, you make him accepts you as His child.
Our relationship with God is strengthened through constant prayer. The more you pray to God, the more you get close to Him and know Him more. As you do this, you renew your relationship with God.
Another importance of prayer is that it gives us the opportunity to have our needs met by God. Each time you pray to God, you have the chance of telling Him what you need.
What to pray for.
We need many things. Every day, there is one thing or the other we need and which we cannot get on our own. In such a case, all we need to do is to tell God about them in prayer.
God is a caring father whose hands are wide open to receive us. He is always ready to listen to us when we come to him in prayer.
Some of the things we can ask from God and pray for include: forgiveness of sins, clothing, food to eat, shelter, wisdom and understanding, guidance, healing, good health to enjoy all the blessing of life and so on.
