NOTES FOR THE CHILDREN

IDENTIFICATION OF VERBS IN SENTENCES. In the sentences below, the children are expected to identify the underlined words as verbs, as they read the sentences.

  1. They eat every day.
  2. She danced  well.
  3. The teacher washed her hands with soap and water.
  4. Covenant likes to watch cartoon.
  5. The dog barks at him.
  6. He sings sweetly.

 

IDENTIFICATION OF NOUNS IN SENTENCES – Nouns have been treated several times with this class. Now the children are expected to identify nouns within a sentence – This is revision work.

  1. I have a book and a pencil
  2. Calabar is a big city.
  3. We went to church on Sunday.
  4. My name is Elsa.
  5. The cat is under the table
  6. My mother is very beautiful.
